The Sahasras are so called because ...            The Audich or Audichya Brdhmans are called because Mul Raj Solanki invited them to Sidhpur in the Kadi divisic in the year AD 942, and they immigrated there from the north to do honour to the celebrated Mahadev or Shiva temple called the Rudra Mahalaya. The Sahastras are so called because tradition says that the immigrants numbered one thousand and obtained as many village from the great king Mul Raj.
